Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
We strive to change lives of at-risk youth in developing countries through hope, advocacy for orphans, and helping every child reach their fullest potential through the power of education. Our very first project launched in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda earlier this year (2017) through partnership with a local non profit to better understand and be able to help street children by leveraging locals. Treasured Learning Center is a mobile classroom and mentoring community that provides street children & vulnerable youth in Kigali an activity-based resource center. Services include 1:1 counseling, mentors, and activitiesto empower education and help children to dream for a better future. RAS firmly believes in equal access to education and basic needs for all.
Our roots began with founder, Alphonsine Imaniraguha’s journey of determination and endurance. Orphaned at age 13 by the 1994 Rwandan genocide, she overcame dark obstacles through courage.
With sheer determination, she supported the growth and education of her surviving three younger siblings, and two other orphaned young boys. Today, Alphonsine is a successful engineer, who strives to help others achieve their dreams through hope and education. Our organization strives to help at-risk youth in developing areas such as Rwanda to have access to educational and mentoring opportunities early on, reaching their fullest potential. We believe that every child has the power within to be lifted up by others and rise above the storms.
