Mission Statement

The mission of the Tolleson Public Library is to advance knowledge and inspire life-long learning in our community by providing free and open access to materials and information in a safe, reliable environment to enrich, empower and strengthen our society.

Description

Well known throughout the West Valley, The City of Tolleson offers exciting community events year-round, including the Latin Jazz and Mariachi Festival, the Whoopee Daze Festival, and Luces de Navidad Festival, just to name a few. Tolleson's main street, Paseo de Luces (Path of Light), attracts thousands of people each year who enjoy entertainment for all ages. Tolleson students' award-winning sculpture collection, known as Paseo de Arte ( Path of Art ), commemorates the rich agrarian history and progressive modern transition of our community.

In 2021, Tolleson Public Library will move to a new facility on Paseo de Luces. The new 10,000 square foot facility will feature Paseo de Libros (Path of Books), our new book store and the future home of the Friends of the Tolleson Public Library. Volunteers are needed to help set up the book store and maintain its functions. Paseo de Libros is currently set up at our temporary location at 9555 W Van Buren Street. We are recruiting now.
