Mission Statement

Underscoring the importance of early literacy for children, especially minority boys, to be successful in all aspects of life, Kinder to College enrolls kindergarten boys in an initiative that prepares them to be proficient in reading and writing by the end of fifth grade.

Description

USC Kinder2College engages elementary school boys in relevant activities designed to increase their reading/writing proficiency. Young boys will be selected schools near the USC University Park Campus beginning March 11th. These students have the opportunity to visit USC throughout the year to learn skills and techniques that can be utilized during regular classroom instruction.
