Mission Statement

Within the Columbiana County Juvenile Court is the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. The CASA Program is a volunteer program that is committed to advocating for children in need.

Description

Children deserve safe, stable and loving homes. However, when children are abused and/or neglected by their parents, a court must intervene to help them. Someone needs to be there to tell their story and protect their future. CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocates / Guardian Ad Litem) volunteers are trained to serve as informed, independent and objective voices in court for abused and neglected children. Volunteers focus on and advocate for children's best interests and their need for safe, permanent homes.
