To provide the best care that we can for the citizens and the surrounding areas of Central City.
Central City Fire Department is in small town in Iowa that is about 28 miles North of Cedar Rapids. We cover 99 square miles. We respond to all types of emergencies. We have approx. 23 members on the department. Central City Voluntter Fire Department is trying to do an expansion of our fire station. We are looking for an engineer to volunteer their time or part of their time to draw up blue prints as well as a drawing of what our fire station expansion could look like. This is the request of the city council members before we can start the project. We do have the funds for this expansion but if we were to use the funds to pay for an engineering study we would no longer have enough funds for the station expansion. Any help from an engineer would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Captain Chris Oldfather 319-350-6190 if your interested.
