"The History Center in Tompkins County helps people use the tools of history to understand the past, gain perspective on the present, and play an informed role in shaping the future."

Description

The History Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve and encourage access to its unique collections, while designing learning experiences and services that create opportunities for people to learn about themselves and their place in the world.

With this objective in mind, we organize exhibitions, educational programs, and partner with a diverse range of non-profit organizations throughout Tompkins County to bring original, research-based educational services to the public.
