Jai-Lee Dearing is a native Detroiter and lives in the city with his wife and children. He is a fourth generation business owner, supporting the Detroit business community.
Today, Jai-Lee Dearing is answering the call for change that Detroit needs. He believes we need a City Council that works for the people and not for itself.
He understands the need for jobs, growth and opportunities are a way to to rebuild Detroit's economy, so he wants to focus on small businesses and neighborhood redevelopment.
Jai-Lee Dearing feels that safe streets, effective services and a council that works are important elements to a successful, healthy city. Jai-Lee will fight to deliver reliable city services and put your tax dollars to work for you.
Education and hope lead to better lives. As a City Council member, Jai-Lee Dearing will lead the fight for safe and well-maintained public schools that give our children the opportunities they deserve. When it comes to our schools- FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION.
Leadership, cooperation and a vision is what Jai-Lee Dearing has that will change how others see Detroit and how Detroit sees itself. He believes that Detroiters are ready to answer the call for a fresh approach to city government, innovative new ideas and a "roll up your sleeves" mindset to get the job done!
