Eastern Oregon Regional Arts Council DBA Art Center East, is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization headquartered in La Grande, OR, and serve our communities through two locations: Eastern Oregon University campus (corner of 6th St. & 'L' Ave.) - a space generously provided by EOU through a long-standing partnership - and 1006 Penn Ave., from a historic Carnegie Library.Since its founding in 1977, Art Center East has developed and coordinated arts learning programs in rural schools and communities throughout our ten-county service area including: Baker, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler.With the continuing decline in funding for arts education, our goal is to make our programs as affordable as possible. This is accomplished through grant writing and our own fund raising efforts. We deeply appreciate the continuing support of the funders and for the schools, parent’s groups and community organizations who support arts education in their schools.
