Mission Statement

The American Cetacean Society (ACS) works in the areas of conservation, education and research to protect whales and dolphins and the oceans they live in.

Description

1. To engage in educational, conservation, and scientific pursuits in the public interest for the purpost of expanding our scientific knowledge of cetaceans and related creaturesw, and their interdependence with marine and other forms of life.

2. to publish and distribute literature.

3. to establish and maintain educational and informational projects.

4. to cooperate with appropriate international, federal, state, and locan educational, conservation, and scientific organizations
