Mission Statement

The League’s mission is to provide and promote opportunities that empower people with disabilities to achieve their potential. Every day, we work towards our vision of full inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life.

Description

For more than 70 years, The League has been serving people with disabilities in our community. We engage in community change activities through systemic advocacy, public education, collaboration, and technical assistance. Advocacy is at the heart of everything we do at The League, including systemic advocacy as well as individual advocacy. We teach people with disabilities how to be advocates for themselves and others as well! We serve people of all ages with any type of disability, and most importantly, they are the guide in their goals to independence, while we simply serve as partners to achieving these goals! Our Volunteers empower our mission, service impact, and become part of our passionate team of people serving more than 2700 people every year. Connect with us today to learn about all of the different opportunities we have available here at The League. 260.441.0551
