Mission Statement

THE RHYTHM FOUNDATION is a nonprofit organization based in Miami Beach. It was founded in 1988 with the mission of increasing international awareness through live music, and has grown to become a foremost presenter of world music in the US. Special focus is given to those cultures connecting to South Florida audiences - music from Latin America, Brazil, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe. The range of programs covers music at the heart of global culture today to traditional music of the world. The Rhythm Foundation also works to build and strengthen diverse South Florida communities through shared consistent cultural experiences.

Description

Rhythm Foundation is a non-profit organization celebrating our 29th season. We are proud to be a cultural anchor in South Florida, presenting outstanding international music artists and quality community-based programs. We present concerts, events and festivals by established and innovative artists from around the world and South Florida. Special focus is given to those cultures connecting to South Florida audiences - music from Brazil, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Europe. And, since 2015, we manage the historic North Beach Bandshell for the City of Miami Beach.
