About FWMA: Florida Wild Mammal Association (FWMA) is a renowned wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization located in Wakulla County, Florida. For the last 30 years, FWMA has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife including birds, mammals, and reptiles. With a commitment to the community, FWMA cares for an average of over 1,500 animals annually, totaling over 20,000 since its founding in 1994. Job Description: FWMA is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Social Media and Marketing Volunteer. This volunteer position plays a crucial role in growing our audience and fostering a strong fundraising following through the virtual space. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager Volunteer, this position will utilize social media platforms and marketing strategies to promote FWMA's mission, initiatives, fundraising, and events. Responsibilities: Develop and implement social media campaigns to increase FWMA's online presence and engagement. Create compelling content including posts, videos, and graphics to showcase FWMA's work, success stories, and upcoming events. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager Volunteer to develop fundraising campaigns and strategies tailored for online platforms. Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of social media campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimize engagement and reach. Stay informed about trends and best practices in social media and marketing to continuously improve FWMA's online presence and effectiveness. Qualifications: Passion for wildlife conservation and animal welfare. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging content. Familiarity with social media analytics tools and ability to interpret data. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Prior experience in social media management or marketing is preferred but not required.
