Mission Statement

Access to Sailing is dedicated to empowering physically and mentally challenged individuals with a special emphasis on our armed forces veterans, underprivileged, and at-risk youth. This is achieved through our sailing programs that are designed to rejuvenate, help re-integrate and to guide, educate and advocate.

Description

Access to Sailing (ATS) was founded over 12 years ago and from it's inception has been dedicated to serving those in need by offering a new perspective on life.

We have a variety of programs serving foster children and those living in homeless shelters, homeless veteran's in recovery, and a newly created advocacy program helping recently returning veterans.

These programs are molded to the needs of the people we serve and we do it through the medium of sailing and boating outings, away from the harsh fluorescent lights of VA hospitals and away from the peer pressure of the school yard.

By offering this new and different environment to our participants, we empower them to new heights never before imagined. We teach the team building experience of sailing and the calming effect that only sailing can offer in it's unique way.
