Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College is the largest multidisciplinary gerontology institute in the northeastern United States.

Description

Some of the programs the Brookdale Center has conceived and sponsors include: The Samuel Sadin Institute on Law and Rights of Older Adults, a training and legislative advocacy initiative on behalf of older people;The Group Activities and Respite Program - a recreation and socialization program for older people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias;The Grandparent Caregiver Law Center - providing support and legal information to older people involved in parenting in late life;The Reingold Institute for the Prevention of Financial Abuse of the Elderly - provides training to banks and other financial institutions and daily money management to frail elders at home.
