Mission Statement

The mission of Home Front Hearts is to serve the families that serve our country by: providing support and resources to the families of service members, increasing public awareness of the struggles and sacrifices of military families, and engaging both individuals and businesses in building communities that are responsive to the needs of these families.

Description

Home Front Hearts provides direct support to military families in terms of resource database, referral and outreach as necessary (resources for Veterans, Families, PTSD, etc.).

The organization also emphasizes the importance of community education and awareness - building "supportive communities". Schools, religious groups, civic groups, etc. engage in activities supportive of service members and their families (and encourage donations of time/resources/expertise). Idea is to develop own "military support" within respective communities in ways that are uniquely theirs. For instance, a school group could have a function for military kids, synagogue could have monthly Sunday breakfast for military families or have "free childcare Fridays" (random examples).
