Purpose: Encourage children to practice reading skills and build reading confidence by allowing them to read aloud to library-approved volunteer dogs in a non-threatening environment. Qualifications: Must be a Love on a Leash certified dog team who enjoy working with children and families. Responsibilities: Encourage a love of reading and animals, and assisting children with literacy and relaxation skills.
