The primary focus of hospice care is quality of life through comfort, dignity and understanding. Volunteers can make a difference in somone's life by simply providing pet companionship in as little as 15 minutes. This is a meaningful and life changing opportunity. Some patients do not like companionship but the minute a dog or cat comes in the room is an entirely different story. At time patients will only respond to pet visitors. They are a special kind of love that only a pet love will understand. I you can give 2-3 visits a month then please give us a call.
