If your dog has not yet been registered through Pet Partners, please visit their website to find out more: https://petpartners.org/ . The P.A.W.S. program requires all pets and their handlers to be registered through PET PARTNERS prior to volunteering.
The P.A.W.S. (Pets Assisting with Service) volunteer program at EnloeMedicalCenter impacts the patients and visitor experience by providing non-threatening visits from a pet partner team. The P.A.W.S. volunteer program is an opportunity for community members to share the healing spirit of dogs with patients and visitors on a flexible schedule. P.A.W.S. pet partner teams can visit any and all three locations during the following business hours:
- MainHospital- between 9am - 8pm
- CancerCenter- Open Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm
- RehabilitationCenter- Open 7 days a week from 8:00am - 5:00pm
P.A.W.S. pet partner teams will be orientated to each facility and proctor with an experienced pet partner team if necessary. The training will cover the following at each facility:
- Site liaison/staff resource in department
- Visit locations
- Sign-in binder
- How to document visits
- Location of supplies needed

Description
Enloe Medical Center is a 298-bed nonprofit hospital with the mission of improving the quality of your life through patient-centered care. It is one of two Level II trauma centers north of Sacramento, houses the region’s only Level II neonatal intensive care unit and operates the FlightCare air ambulance service. Enloe’s comprehensive medical services include cardiac surgery and heart care, neurosurgery, orthopedics, total joint replacement, cancer care, maternity care, women's services and bariatrics.
Enloe caregivers are focused on engaging each other to achieve higher quality of care, reaching out to patients and families to create meaningful programs and building bridges with the community to support health and well-being.
Enloe is one of the few California hospitals still locally governed. The hospital’s community-based, volunteer Board of Trustees protects this local status and assures that dollars earned are reinvested to improve the health of the community.
Enloe Medical Center serves patients and community members throughout Butte County and California's North State.
