RSVP, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, can help you find the right fit for your interests, time and the causes you care about. RSVP helps adults by matching you with opportunities that fit your skills and experience. Reading with children, helping frail seniors remain independent, mentoring youth, promoting good health, caring for the environment, providing support to an individual and family under hospice care, helping provide food and clothing, teaching classes and promoting public safety are some of the ways you can improve lives and strengthen our community. You get to choose how much time you'd like to volunteer and where you'd like to serve. For more information about particular volunteer opportunities for adults, email, call, or attend an upcoming orientation session at 3:00 p.m. on the 4th Thursday of the month. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Washoe County, RSVP, is sponsored by the Sanford Center for Aging and the University of Nevada, Reno.
