The Model eHealth Community for Agingproject (MeHCA) focuses on deploying health-related, technology-based activities for a diverse population of seniors in Los Angeles and vicinity. The volunteer will provide training, coordination, and support at affordable housing communities.

Job Function

OUTREACH: Promote resident participation in project-related activities that will include designing and posting flyers, speaking with residents, and ensuring activity attendance. Provide as-needed written and verbal translation services. Nurture the development of community leaders to support project activities.

TRAINING/SUPPORT: Support scheduled training and workshop activities at the targeted communities. Provide technical assistance in connecting the site to workshop presentations. Research and provide health-based resources on the Internet for English and Korean learners.

ADMINISTRATION: Participate in bi-weekly team calls. Distribute, collect, and enter data from surveys following each activity. Document activities and events through photos, notes, and other observations.


Volunteer must be available during regular business hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) and willing to commit to 6-month. Must reside within 20 miles of 90005 or 91203 zip codes. Criminal background and TB test required.
