Locust Grove Nature Center in Bethesda is tucked away in the woods at the top of a hill leading down to a beautiful stream. Although the nature center is small in size, the grounds around it are full of the wonders of nature - would you like to share that with families and school groups that come to visit?

Locust Grove provides a variety of natural and cultural history programs for the public and maintain active exhibit areas, grounds, and trails.

Volunteer Naturalists lead and/or assist staff with public programs at the Nature Center.

Volunteer Naturalists enjoy working with all types of people, enjoy learning about nature and cultural history, and sharing that knowledge with others.

Training will be provided and schedules will be worked out with Park Staff.

Description

Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
