Volunteer as a jobs advisor, mentor, instructor, or tutor.
As a jobs advisor, help career-changing and job-seeking adults identify their marketable skills, interests, and job objectives, tune their resumes, do practice interviews, network for informational and job interviews, and find ideal jobs.
As a mentor, meet in two-hour classroom sessions once a week and encourage men and women as they transform their lives. Reinforce pastors also doing instruction. Lead small group discussions about relationships, work, authority, attitude, integrity, communication, conflict, and stewardship.
As an instructor, teach one or more practical skills in job hunting, resumes, interviewing, public speaking or personal budgeting.
As a tutor, help an adult once-a-week to pass any of the five GED subject tests for high school-level academic skills.
