Mission Statement

VE Global (VE) recruits, trains and organizes international volunteers to achieve our mission of fostering the positive development of children at social risk in Chile. VE has successfully integrated nearly 450 full-time volunteers from more than 35 countries into our network of six local social service organizations including children’s shelters, community centers and schools in the most vulnerable neighborhoods of Santiago.

VE Global (VE) recluta, capacita y organiza voluntarios alrededor del mundo a fin de lograr nuestra misión, la cual es fomentar el desarrollo positivo de niños en situaciones de riesgo social en Santiago de Chile. VE ha logrado integrar cerca de 450 voluntarios desde más de 35 países y con un compromiso de tiempo completo, a nuestra red de seis centros de asisitencia social, incluyendo hogares para niños, centros comunitarios y escuelas de las comunas más vulnerables de Santiago.

Volunteer with children at social risk in Chile

VE Global (VE) recruits, trains and organizes international volunteers to achieve our mission of fostering the positive development of children at social risk in Chile. VE has successfully integrated over 450 full-time volunteers from more than 35 countries into our network of 6 local children's homes, community centers, schools and preschools in some of the most vulnerable areas of Santiago.

VE volunteers help implement our four educational programs: ¡Vamos a Leer! , Festival de Arte , Liga de Deportes and English in Motion . Each volunteer is placed in one of our partner social service organizations where they mentor children in a variety of ways, from assisting with homework to playing games to creating and running their own workshops and activities. Volunteers build strong relationships with the children for whom they provide support, friendship and the chance to just have fun and be a kid. Our volunteers support the organization by administrative and office support as well working to improve our educational programs, or assisting with Development through communications outreach and fundraising efforts. This gives volunteers the opportunity not only to grow and learn professionally at an international NGO, but also to have a sustainable impact on VE Global as an organization.

Because of the delicate nature of working with children who have been abused or neglected, we require that our volunteers join our team for a minimum of four months, with a full-time commitment.

VE charges NO fee to volunteer.

Voluntariado con niños, niñas y adolescentes en Chile

VE Global recluta, capacita y organiza voluntarios extranjeros con el fin de alcanzar nuestra visión de la igualdad de oportunidades para niños, niñas y adolescentes en riesgo social en Santiago de Chile.

VE ha integrado exitosamente más de 450 voluntarios de más de 35 países distintos a nuestra red de 6 organizaciones colaboradoras tales como hogares de protección, centros comunitarios, escuelas y jardines en algunos de los barrios más vulnerables de Santiago.

Los voluntarios de VE ayudan con la implementación de nuestros cuatro programas educativos: ¡Vamos a Leer! , Festival de Arte , Liga de Deportes y English in Motion . Cada voluntario hace su voluntariado en una organización colaboradora donde ayudan de diversas formas tales como asistir en tareas de la escuela hasta jugar con los niños y crear sus propios talleres y actividades.

Los voluntarios se construyen fuertes vínculos con los niños con quienes trabajan, ofreciéndoles amistad y la oportunidad de divertirse. Nuestros voluntarios también colaboran con tareas de gestión y administración en la oficina también, muchas veces en mejorar los programas educativos y otros trabajos en desarrollo y comunicaciones. Esto les ofrece una buena oportunidad no sólo para crecer y aprender de manera profesional en una ONG internacional, sino también el poder ofrecer un impacto sustentable en VE Global como organización.

Debido a la naturaleza delicada de trabajar con niños que han sufrido maltrato o abandono, requerimos que nuestros voluntarios se comprometan y se unan a nuestro equipo por un período mínimo de 4 meses a tiempo completo.

VE Global no cobra ninguna cuota al voluntariado para la participación en nuestro programa.
