JOB TITLE: Off-site and Special Events
REPORT TO: Clinic/Program Manager
TIME COMMITMENT: As needed. Great volunteer opportunity for people with free time on the weekends.
PURPOSE: To gain additional exposure for PFA and to educate the public on various topics such as pet overpopulation.
DUTIES: To engage the public in conversation, act as a public-relations representative and be an advocate for PFA mission and philosophies. To encourage individuals to consider adopting from a clinic and to make their dogs more socially acceptable through obedience training.
QUALIFICATIONS: A people person who enjoys engaging with other people. To be well-versed in PFA programs and services and to accurately translate this information to interested parties. Must possess the ability to make visitors at ease and to easily engage others in conversation.
TRAINING: Materials are provided in this handbook as well as additional information on programs available through the Clinic/Program Manager. Training is provided "on the job" through working closely with designated staff members.
OTHER: There are a host of special events for which we need volunteers. Volunteers should feel free to offer their services at any time for these events. In addition to street fairs and events run by other organizations, PFA holds several events annually.
DRESS CODE: Volunteer T-shirt and name tag.

High-quality low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services (low-cost vaccines and routine preventative care) in our clinics in Hillside, Millville, and Robbinsville. Accessible to underserved areas in NJ ensuring low-income families can obtain the care their pets need. Currently helping 35,000 animals and performing 24,500 surgeries per year.
