Do you desire to serve victims of domestic violence? Make a difference in the lives of those impacted by domestic violence in Scott and Carver Counties, MN. We are seeking volunteers to assist us in answering our crisis line during evenings and weekends. Our crisis line volunteers provide information, support and referrals to callers. This opportunity allows you the flexibility to volunteer from your home/remotely (your private telephone number is confidential and not revealed to callers). All volunteers must pass a criminal background check, complete an online advocate training, attend a volunteer interview, attend an orientation/training session in Belle Plaine, MN, and commit to serving 3 shifts per month (24 hours). Participate in quarterly advocate conference calls, attendance at a quarterly in-service training is also required.
