Tattered Coverr hosts gift-wrapping space for non-profits. Shoppers pay to have their items gift wrapped with the proceeds going to the organization there that day.
Denver Firefighters Museum is fortunate to have scheduled the weekend before Christmas-probably the busiest time during the holidays! Every gift wrapped generates funds for Denver Firefighters Museum.

Where:Tattered Cover LoDo, 16th Street and Wynkoop
When: December 15 through December 25 2016
Four hour shifts throughout the day for each of those days; from 7:30 am-9:30 pm.
Who: 2-3volunteers for each shift
What: Wrap gifts with materials provided by Tattered Cover No experience necessary, though creativity is welcome!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Denver Firefighters Museum is to preserve the history of the Denver Fire Department and firefighting through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents and photographs. The purpose of the Museum is to educate the public about fire safety and the history of firefighting in Denver from its inception to the present. This is accomplished through interpretive exhibits, educational programming and scholarly research.

Description

Located in historic Denver Fire Station One, just blocks from the 16th Street Mall and the Denver Mint, the Denver Firefighters Museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents on the history of firefighting from 1866 to the present. Climb in a real fire truck, slide down a pole and dress like a firefighter! The Museum offers fun for everyone through self-guided tours, educational programs and hands-on activities teach fire safety and prevention.
