At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we're passionate about our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We fulfill this mission every day by providing information, resources and support to those affected by blood cancers.

LLS Patient Access volunteers help in so many ways: supporting patients, family members, healthcare professionals, our community; and always setting the standard for compassion and kindness. You can volunteer in your local chapter office, in the community, or from your home. Most roles require a commitment between 5 - 10 hours per month with a flexible schedule to fit your needs.

Join us as a volunteer, and join the cause that’s having the most impact on finding new ways to fight cancer - not someday, but today.

Patient & Family Outreach Volunteer - Welcome newly diagnosed patients and their family members to LLS and provide them with local chapter resources: In most cases, you will be the first LLS representative a cancer patient or their familymember talks to locally. You will be part of an important part of their cancer journey and provide much-needed support and resources.

Community Outreach Volunteer - Create and maintain relationships with LLS stakeholders with the goal of connecting every newly diagnosed blood cancer patient to LLS. Outreach is an integral step to help increase healthcare professional referrals and guide more blood cancer patients to LLS resources and services.

Patti Robinson Kaufman First Connection Volunteer Coordinator - Administer a peer-to-peer support program which includes direct contact with patients and caregivers, volunteer management, database logging and follow-up. This important program for patients, caregivers and family members provides a positive experience in their cancer journey; an experience you get to be a part of.

Family Support Group Volunteer - Assist in the promotion and coordination of chapter Family Support Groups, which are community support groups led by local healthcare professionals and attended by blood cancer patients and families.By supporting the group facilitators you are helping them provide an essential service for patients and families facing cancer. This is also an opportunity to maintain and enhance office skills and learn new database management.

Information Management Volunteer - Support Patient Access Volunteer Development through data entry of patient services information into LLS database system. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance database management experience within Salesforce. By entering accurate and consistent data, LLS is able to apply for grants and foundation assistance to provide better support to blood cancer patients.

Patient Access Chapter Relations Volunteer - Support volunteer relationships in local chapter and serve as local chapter volunteer liaison. As an integral part of LLS, you will help advance patient access initiatives, ensuring volunteers are actively engaged and satisfied. In addition, this is a great opportunity to continue or advance current managerial skills.
