Amedisys Hospice in Huntsville, AL is seeking Administrative and Direct Patient Care Volunteers to support our mission of offering comfort, dignity and quality of life to those living with a terminal illness. As a Hospice Volunteer, you will become an important part of our hospice team and can help make a difference in a variety of ways, including:

  • Offering companionship & socialization
  • Making supportive phone calls to isolated and/ or lonely patients and their caregivers
  • Assisting with light household duties such as washing dishes, vacuuming and/ or taking out the trash
  • Providing emotional support
  • Making weekly "tuck-in" calls to community based patients
  • Helping with monthly bereavement mailings
