In need of a volunteer coordinator intern who can coordinate and/or lead regular training and group meetings for Support Service Volunteers.

Will be managing volunteer day to day task assignments, cold-calling volunteers, organizing volunteer/community service program, collaborate with other employees, and the Director of Quality and Staff Development and the Coordinator of Staff Development.

Participates in outreach and marketing activities by hosting tours, participating in meetings and making presentations.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Must be able to start immediately.

Program Description/ Development

The program helps young men and young women become equipped to meet the challenges, demands, and opportunities of the future. They develop strong cognitive and critical thinking skills that can be applied to problems that are mathematical, scientific, artistic, social, moral, ethical, or personal.

These skills, are learned in an atmosphere that is intellectually stimulating and emotionally nurturing, allowing young men and young women to gain confidence, discipline, courage and enable them to grow into resilient, responsible, and productive leaders of their communities.

The program provides immediate and integral links to their community and outside of their community where leaders and local business members serve as mentors to young people.
