Many of Butler and Warren County's most vulnerable elderly, mentally ill and mentally disabled residents are in need of a Friendly Visitor/Volunteer Guardian. Friendly visitors, visit with clients 1-2 times per month. Our clients reside in Butler or Warren Counties. Volunteers can meet with seniors any day, 8 AM - 8 PM based on their availability.

Volunteers can help a variety of individuals, but here are our current special requests:

• Korean speaking volunteer to visit an elderly woman in Middletown

Clients are individuals who have no immediate family able or willing to help them, or they have limitations that impair their ability to make decisions. Many times, our Guardian is the only person who visits outside of medical professionals and caregivers. The first six months of volunteer service are spent as a "friendly visitor" to make sure it's a good match for both the volunteer and ward. After that time, legal guardianship can be pursued, but is not a requirement. This is a very fulfilling volunteer position that directly impacts a person in need.
