We offer unique flexible volunteer opportunities that fit your interests and time. Deliver new clothes & shoes to a child in need; serve a meal at the Women's Center; and/or work a shift at the thrift shop (see descriptions below).

Please note: Membership in Assistance League is required to volunteer in the philanthropic programs. Non-member volunteers may work in the thrift shop, bag school supplies in Sept/Oct, or provide services that help in the operation of the organization.

Programs That Make a Difference

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL
Provide new clothes, shoes, health & school supplies to over 850 children in need attending Triangle area schools.
WOMEN IN NEED
Prepare hot meals and give much-needed resources to the Women's Center of Wake County, a day shelter for women in crisis.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Grant scholarships to qualified individuals residing in the Triangle Area.
KID'S PLACE
Maintain the reading & playroom at the Children's Emergency Department at WakeMed by providing books, toys and teddy bears.
COMMUNITY SHARING
Distribute gently used items that are not saleable or in excess in our shop to other non-profit organizations in the Triangle Area.

A to Z Thrift Shop

Located at 1621 North Market Drive, Raleigh, NC, our thrift shop is an unparalleled shopping experience with beautifully arranged departments, friendly staff and plenty of treasures. Stop by to do some shopping; and please consider donating your gently used furniture and household items by calling 919-875-8901 for directions or pick-up service. All donations are tax deductible. The hours of operation are Wed-Fri 10am-5pm and Sat 10am-4pm.

We are funded by generous contributions from our corporate sponsors, private contributions and grants, as well as, by proceeds from sales at A to Z Thrift Shop.

Assistance League of the Triangle Area is a volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, children, and families in our community.

Description

Volunteers of Assistance League of the Triangle Area are what make our organization so remarkable. All members are highly motivated to effect change in our community. We have no paid staff, therefore, all activities are performed by our members. All funds we raise stay in the Triangle Area.
