Love playing video games? Enjoy spending time with seniors and helping them stay healthy? Join us for a fun-filled morning or afternoon of playing Wii video games with our seniors! As people age, it becomes increasingly important to use creative methods to help them stay mentally and physically fit. The Wii meets both of these needs, and it's a fun social activity.
Satellite Housing provides affordable, service-enriched housing to seniors with limited options. We have twenty sites throughout the East Bay and especially need volunteers to serve in Berkeley and Oakland. Multiple sites besides the address listed have openings for this position.

Description
The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
