Love working with kids? Come share a little of your free time at St. Joseph Services. We are a community organization that provides educational services to youth in the Austin and Humboldt communities.

We are looking to fill volunteer positions for our After School Program in Humboldt Park. The right candidate should feel comfortable helping students complete their homework and taking part in enrichment activities. All interested volunteers will have the opportunity to observe a session prior to starting.

Needs:

Though we are looking for after school volunteers in general, we have a special need for volunteer tutors at this site (Mon -Thurs) assisting with grades K - 8th.

REQUIREMENTS:

Responsible and Enthusiastic

Accepting of other cultures and beliefs

Experience working with youth preferred, but not necessary

Complete in-class VIRTUS Training and online Mandated Reporter Training (free to volunteers)

Able to pass a background check

Minimum six month commitment: with at least three hours per week

Able to provide a copy of resume and two professional references

Over 18 years old
