RSVP logo

RSVP volunteers 55 and older provide companionship and emotional support to terminally ill patients in Amherst, Springfield, or Northampton, MA, in a Hospice facility or in the patient's home. Training, a CORI check and ongoing supervision is required. Volunteers do not give hands-on or medical care.

RSVP volunteers also provide fund raising support to Hospice Programs by helping in Northampton and Amherst thrift shops. These shops provide financial support to the hospice programs. Have fun receiving, displaying and selling donated items to benefit Hospice.

Description

RSVP volunteers must be 55 years or older and volunteer in Hampden, Hampshire or Fanklin County, MA. RSVP matches a volunteer's skills and interests with community organizations in Western Massachusetts that need help. RSVP staff remains available to help volunteers achieve the most out of their service.
