Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding is the only Premier Accredited Path Intl Center in New Mexico. We offer a safe, friendly, and fun learning environment focusing on horseback riding program for special needs riders and equine psychotherapy, meeting the highest of standards in the equine world. We are searching for an energetic, enthusiastic, and dependable member to add to our Board of Directors. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to call their friends, co-workers, and associates to promote the program in the Rio Rancho and ABQ area. We need fresh ideas, and effective fundraising efforts, grant writing, etc. Not to worry, though you don't have to do it all. Come view our lessons on Saturday and see the differences we make in peoples lives. Open since 2008 and we are ready to move to a full time program, requiring strong leadership and community connections. Mission Statement

LTTR’s mission is to empower and improve the quality of life for people with mental and physical challenges thru therapeutic horsemanship, therapies, and educational outreach to all.


Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding, Inc offers Therapeutic Horseback Riding lessons to individuals with physical and mental handicaps or disabilities. We also serve Veterans with PTSD or other physical injuries. Riders gain many skills including balance, muscle strength, eye-hand coordination, organizational skills, social skills, etc. Riders are encouraged to participate in all activities involved in riding, including grooming, tacking their horse, and riding their horse. Volunteers are needed to help support these riders and assist in the general operation of the organization.
