Hedonisia EcoFeminism

We have two related book projects that discuss issues of gender, free speech, political correctness, race and other social identities.

These books describe broader social issues of this time but have a focus on practical solutions and guidelines on how to communicate with different people in a time when everyone is very sensitive about the political nature of their social identities.

  1. Warrior WoMan: Principles, Power, Pleasure & Peace on the Planet. A look at gender relationships, sexuality, and power in different cultures around the world.
  2. Social Identity Play: Free Speech, Sex, Culture & Humor in a Diverse World.
This is a book project for volunteers who are writers, thinkers, activists, and editors. We are especially seeking those who would like to work on gender equality from different perspectives than the mainstream.

Our ideal volunteer is someone who:
  • believes in gender equality and female empowerment.
  • has a politically incorrect sense of humor :)
The books address issues surrounding racial and gender equality in cultures around the world. We offer novel solutions that are light-hearted and politically incorrect.

We seek volunteers with Editing, Research & writing skills. As well, for those who like research, we need fact-checkers and media research for this book project.

Please apply with your Gmail address. If your application is approved, we will share the Google Doc of the Manuscript with you. You will have Commenter status so you can directly make improvements when proofreading, research, and editing.

With Google Commenter status, you can work at any time for as long as you wish.

We are also looking for proofreaders and editors who can prepare our manuscripts for Self-Publishing using one of the self-publishing platforms.

Let us know which book you'd like to work on in your application. You are quite welcome to volunteer for both books as they complement each other.

We look forward to working with you.

About Hedonisia EcoFeminist Community

6404 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97206, US

Mission Statement

Hedonisia EcoFeminist Community: Our community is based on the principle of 'pleasurable activism', we try to do our bit to 'save the world' but we also try to enjoy ourselves at the same time. It is the reason we call our community 'Hedonisia'! We have fun in paradise but are not blind to the world's problems. We manage and work on our portfolio of Activist, EcoFeminist and EcoSex projects. You can see the Hedonisia Web Portfolio at:

Hedonisia Hawaii EcoFeminist Community was started in 2004 in the Hawaiian rainforest. Our community was based on ecofeminism and ecotourism as our social and economic foundations.

We are idealist but also pragmatic. Through our philosophy of activist and feminist enterprise, we seek business solutions to various problems in the world.

Though our community is small, the projects we work on have a global reach. One of our feminist web projects provides women around the world with information on reproductive choice. It has been accessed by over one million women over the past decade and, as reported by women themselves, saved many lives by giving them access to reproductive choice.

In 2018 the Hedonisia Hawaii Community was destroyed by lava flow from the Kilauea Volcanic eruption. We temporarily relocated to Portland OR where we continue work on our web projects.

We have a crowdfund campaign to rebuild our community in Hawaii: GoFundMe/SaveHedonisia

We are preparing to return. See for more details.

We welcome you to be part of our Community Rebirth!
