Patient Transport:
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Patient Transport team! As a Volunteer Transporter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients are comfortably and safely moved throughout the hospital.
Key Duties:
- Transport patients to and from various test departments and medical areas.
- Assist with the safe discharge of patients.
- Sanitize transport equipment to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Run errands for the Transport Supervisor as needed.
Requirements:
- Compassionate and empathetic with strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle various tasks with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to assist in transporting patients.

Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience which allows you to give back to others and make a difference in your community. Paoli Hospital needs people like you to join our volunteer team of 400 volunteers from age 15 and counting. Our volunteers are crucial in supporting Paoli Hospital’s mission to uphold the standard of excellence in care, educational information, technology and community outreach. We strive to provide a "superior experience" to all that we encounter.
While there are specific benefits to being a volunteer, the greatest reward is being part of a team that helps deliver the best patient care possible to those in need. The positions are endless. We have opportunities with patient contact or non patient contact. Just about every area of the hospital has a need for volunteers. Our volunteers are students, parents, grandparents, working professionals and retirees from all walks of life. Through the generous gift of time, talents and personal interests, our volunteers supplement the work of staff members by offering many special services so important to patients, their families and hospital staff.
