We are looking for volunteers who are adept at sewing and can make memory bears for our families after they have lost a loved one. The bears are made using material from clothing or blankets that were special to the hospice patient. The families find great solace in these bears, esp. children and grandchildren of patients.

Remita Health volunteers are specially-trained individuals with a heart for terminally-ill patients and their family members. These volunteers are an invaluable and essential part of the interdisciplinary team, and we are always looking for compassionate people to becoming volunteers!
Our program is broken down into several sub-programs to best meet the needs of the patients and families all over the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles areas. To volunteer with Remita Health, the most important thing our volunteers need to possess is a desire to help with care and compassion. Volunteers should be great listeners, have a strong comfort with death and the dying process, and able to document work clearly and concisely.
