Help us make our website sizzle! Assist our website administrator in updating our website. Use your creativity to attract people to the Sierra Club site. Training is provided.

I'm looking for someone to serve as my backup as the web developer for our NE Florida Sierra Club web site: http://www.sierraclub.org/florida/northeast-florida. I've been doing this on my own for some time and it's just wise to have a backup.

The web site is constructed with DRUPAL, but Sierra Club has provided a user-friendly interface. Your role would be to update content and be ready to fill in for me during periods of time when I'm unavailable. Updates usually take an hour or two per week.

You need to have a little experience with using web authoring systems. Some basic knowledge of HTML is helpful to tweak formatting. Also, you need to develop familiarity with the Sierra Club mission, goals, and positions, and familiarity with environmental issues, as one of the major tasks is to glean environmental news from various sources for the web content.

I'll be able to train you on what to do and can share web development tasks with you enough so that you maintain your skills. You only need to do enough to keep up your familiarity with the tasks, but I can share as much responsibility as you want.
