Food Pantry Volunteers needed at William Temple House

William Temple House, in NW Portland, has openings for food pantry volunteers on Wednesdays, and Thursdays (volunteer shift is 10:30am to 1:30pm). *In the future we may also have available volunteer shifts on Tuesdays (from 10:30am to 1:30pm).

Duties:
We distribute food boxes to clients outside of the building (on Tue, Wed, and Thur from 10:30am to 1:30pm), so volunteers do not interact with clients. Volunteers help assemble the food boxes in our food pantry, at stations laid out to maintain safe social distancing. *We provide Personal Protection Equipment (masks and gloves).

Requirements:

  • Be able to lift/carry.
  • Have good organizational skills.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Make a 3 month volunteer commitment
