The Habitat Store serves Habitat's work of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. The Habitat Store is a donation-based home improvement and goods store. One hundred percent of proceeds from donations of new and gently used items help fund our mission.

The store depends on enthusiastic volunteers for everything from bringing in donated items and helping our warehouse team process them to go onto the floor, to helping customers and arranging merchandise. Whether volunteers prefer interacting with the public or working behind the scenes, we have a space for everyone!

The Store is open Mon-Sat, with shifts times: 9:00-1:00, 1:00-5:00, or the full day. You can sign up for shifts on our website at https://habitat-spokane.org/volunteer/ or by contacting Claire at clepoullouin@habitat-spokane.org. You can also arrange groups of up to 12 due to the ability to social distance in the warehouse by contacting Claire.

Mission Statement

HfH-Spokane is an ecumenical nonprofit Christian ministry bringing the community together to build decent, affordable homes for all God's people in need.

Description

HfH-Spokane creates a partnership between local families, volunteers and businesses to build affordable decent housing with low income families. Habitat is "a hand up, not a hand out." Each family must fully repay a 30-year, interest free mortgage and contribute 500 hours of "sweat equity" toward Habitat homes and projects.

HfH-Spokane will partner with all community members including other affordable housing providers, ethnic and minority communities and low-income families to raise the standards of housing. HfH-Spokane will provide hope, stability and dignity for families in partnership while building our community through quality homeownership.
