Volunteers may conduct guided tours of the historic Thomas Wolfe house, offer customer service to visitors, answer questions, ring up merchandise and orient visitors to our site. Training is provided by staff.
The Thomas Wolfe Memorial could not be a success without your generous donation of volunteer time and effort. We would love for you to join our team. If you are interested in becoming a part of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer family, please fill out the Volunteer Application at http://wolfememorial.com/volunteer and email it to Kayla Seay at kayla.seay@ncdcr.gov or send it to 52 N. Market Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
Once the application is received, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to set up a meeting. We understand that every volunteer has special interests and desired degree of social interaction with visitors. Therefore, we strive to pair volunteers with positions that best suit them.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Thomas Wolfe Memorial is to preserve and interpret the history of the author Thomas Wolfe and his mother's boardinghouse, as told through his novel Look Homeward, Angel.
Description
The Thomas Wolfe Memorial interprets the life and literature of Asheville's most famous native son through guided tours of his mother's boardinghouse and world-class customer service to its visitors. Special programs throughout the year include the Thomas Wolfe Festival, living history programs, and special guided tours of the site.
