Come volunteer with YEAH! (Youth Engagement Advocacy Housing), Berkeley's only shelter for transitional age youth (18-25). We assist young people who are currently homeless by providing basic relief from the stress of living on the street. We are also dedicated to co-creating a community of mutual support and respect.

Help and volunteer by cooking meals, serving food, assisting staff and getting to know youth 18-25, who are currently homeless. YEAH! seeks to build a community that transforms and changes lives--not only the lives of the youth staying here, but also the lives of the volunteers and staff. Our shelter is open from November 19 until Mid-May. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a consistent shift through out these 6 months. Shifts are weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly depending on the position.

We require every volunteer to go through a training before they begin working at YEAH! The training is only about 1.5 hr. Please respond to this post to find out when the next scheduled training is.
