Volunteers at The First Tee of Phoenix at Papago Golf Course are part of an outstanding team. They help us provide a high quality experience and exceptional service to our members and their families. As a volunteer, you'll get a firsthand look at a leading-edge junior development program that uses golf as a tool to teach life skills, and a sense of satisfaction and pride knowing you are making a difference.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways that an individual, corporation, organization or club can get involved with The First Tee of Phoenix, here are a few:
- Life Skills Coaches/Instructors
- Special Outreach Programming in the community with allied organizations
- Learning Center Supervisors
- Academic Tutors
- Chaperones during special monthly events
- Officials and Walking Scorers during monthly golf tournament

To impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities & educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of Golf.
Description
Currently The First Tee of Phoenix is impacting over 70,000 youth each year through regular programming.
Currently there are five sites where programming takes place in Maricopa County, our South Mountain facility/learning center is located at 9510 S. 7th St; and our affiliate sites located in Glendale, Desert Mirage GC is located at 8710 W. Maryland Ave; Papago GC located at 5595 E. Moreland in Central Phoenix; Falcon Dunes GC is located at 15100 W. Northern Ave; and our newest site at Longbow GC located at 5601 E. Longbow Pkwy in Mesa.
Programs also take place within the schools through The First Tee National School Program where we use The First Tee curriculum in an outreach with schools; currently the NSP program is operating in over 160 schools in the Kyrene, Pendergast, Phoenix, Chandler and Mesa School Districts.
There are plenty opportunities to get involved here at The First Tee of Phoenix and the experience is what you are comfortable with and can include anything from office admin, assisting the Coaches during programming times, our Monthly Fun Days and Golf Tournaments or Outreach when we partner with allied organizations like The Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and countless others.CAUSE AREAS
