Openings available soon, at the start of the new year for our new Fort Logan Gift Shop volunteers, 2-3 positions available. To run register as an associate or possibly help with pricing and staging needs or both! Our Gift Shop has been closed (sadly) since March, 2020. Shifts will likely be 10 am-2 pm to start, with possibility for expansion or creation of morning and afternoon shifts. Weekdays only, or fill options available as well. Located in the Southwest Denver area. This is a vital part of our hospital as the profits directly benefit our client population of persons with serious and persistent mental illness. Need to provide your own transportation to and from our hospital. This position requires dedication, involvement on our volunteer board, and willing to do some shopping off grounds at times for shop needs. Some retail and customer service experience preferred. This is non-clinical and a 6 month-1 year commitment or longer is preferred as well.
Must be vaccinated, up to date. Willing to follow hospital required Covid protocols and wear associated PPE as required. Thank you.

Description
The Volunteer Auxiliary at CMHI-Ft. Logan began in 1962 and was designed to assist Ft. Logan in its threefold purpose of:
- patient care
- education
- decreasing the stigma of mental illness
That remains the focus of the program today. The role of the volunteer is not to replace, but to supplement the regular professional staff, freeing them to provide the best care and support services to patients. Our volunteers are very special people who choose to share their time and talents helping others. Each, in his or her own way, helps enhance the quality of patient care, at CMHI-Ft. Logan. Volunteers include retired people, adults and college students.
