Legacy Academy Volunteers work directly with teachers and students. Our volunteers provide one-on-one support to those students that demonstrate a need in all content areas. Legacy Academy staff work very closely with our volunteers to ensure that they are comfortable with the curriculum and know exactly how they can assist small groups or individual students. It's very rewarding and gratifying work. Legacy students, staff, and parents greatly appreciate and value the service that our volunteers provide. It is invaluable and of great importance. Your service contributes greatly to the academic and social success or Legacy Academy students.

Mission Statement
The mission of Legacy Academy of Excellence is to instill a lifelong passion for learning within all its students while ensuring that all learners, including those considered to be "at risk" regardless of economic and social background, succeed academically and become contributing citizens of a global society. This will be accomplished by: 1. Recognizing and accomodating each child's unique abilities and talents. 2. Employing a well-structured, well researched rigorous curriculum. 3. Requiring the accountability of staff, students, family and community.
Description
Legacy Academy of Excellence Charter School is a K-12 charter school model. We are currently serving students in grades K-11. Each year we will add a grade until we get to 12th grade.
In an effort to accommodate the individual needs of students we provide small group and individualized instruction to the degree possible. Classroom volunteers supports this model; ensuring that all students are appropriately engaged and receiving the assistance that they require.
In addition to the rigorous curriculum, Legacy Academy incorporates 10 character virtues into all of the curriculum.
Legacy provides an extended day and extended school year to ensure that we accelerate the students both academically and socially to the degree possible.
