Crisis Hotline- answer distressed callers and accept them into the shelter or give referrals to community resources

Shelter Monitor- general assistance with needs of shelter

Special Occasions - What is your gift? Do you like to bake? Are you creative with crafts? Do you teach line dancing, yoga, or a second language? Bring your talents to shelter clients!

Tuesday Night is Kids Night- read a book or spend some fun time with shelter children while their parent attends support group sessions. Be creative! Ages and numbers of children vary.

Transportation/Driver- volunteer to help shelter clients without transportation make appointments, apply for jobs, search for housing, etc.

Community Awareness- Help us distribute literature, develop a public service announcement, or invite us to your workplace, civic organization or church group to speak

Maintenance/Repairs- Upkeep is a work in progress! Bring your skills and put them to work for a good cause.

Remodeling/Interior Design- If you have a talent for making a house a home we need you!

Donations - Help us solicit donations from the community to meet our needs

Organize Us- office management assistance needed

MEG'S House is committed to providing safe emergency shelter to women, children, and also men, who are victims of family violence in McCormick, Edgefield, and Greenwood .

Description

MEG's House provides not only safety and housing needs, but assistance with employment, finding permanent housing, counseling services, education and empowerment to victims. Victims receive help achieving long term stability and safety.
