VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to help teach performing arts curriculum in CPS! We integrate performing arts and character building and need you to be part of this great endeavor. Trainings will be held periodically to prepare for instruction in the SUMMER. Instruction will occur 5 weekday MORINGS from 7:45-8:40am and Weekday EVENINGS from 3:45-6:00pm in the FALL! Seeking curriculum development and Admin volunteers! We will have several volunteers, so you might not have to take EVERY shift!

Volunteer opportunities to teach art forms will take place starting in the FALL of this academic school year at a Southside public school location. If you aren’t available in the fall, there are options to volunteer in the spring as well.

If you are interested in coming on board and can fit one of these days in your schedule consistently for 10 weeks starting in the fall, please respond to this email with:

5) A few weekends that you are available this summer for a 2-3 hour training

The Jessie Lu Caples Stamps Development Arts Center(JLCSDAC) is a new and innovative non-profit organization that seeks to nurture and foster the God given creativity and talents of youth ranging from ages 5-19 years. The staff seeks to provide resources and opportunities to train children in depth about all aspects of their specified art form. The staff consists of volunteer workers experienced in various art forms to guide young people along their paths to artistic success. JLCDAC seeks to approach all classes and curriculum holistically, emphasizing the importance of the overall health of the physical body to enhance performance quality.

Do you love teaching children? HELP NEEDED! Are you ready to make a difference in your community? Would you like to share your gifts and talents with an eager youth? JLCSDC is currently offering part time teaching internships in the areas of drama, acting, theater, spoken word, song, etc. We are in need volunteer administrative help, event planners, grant-writers, and students that would like to help search for grants! We are also in need of adult volunteers that are willing to lend their expertise and skills towards teaching underrepresented youth various art forms. Interested adults should email jlcsdac@gmail.com
