Encompass Health is looking for outstanding people who would like to spend quality time with the patients in our care. Most of our patients are without family members for 5-8 hours of the day, they always enjoy a visitor giving them a friendly ear to listen or to just be "present". Our volunteers provide compassionate assistance to patients facing terminal illness. They perform a variety of services such as caregiver respite, reading or visiting with patients, writing letters, light housekeeping or meal preparation. Volunteers can also assist with office support. This opportunity allows you to make a lasting impression on someone, being a hospice volunteer is a sacred title, hospice was built on volunteers work and we cherish that still to this day. We encourage our volunteers to be creative in their service and to use all the talents they have. If you would like to know more about this incredible opportunity, please send us an email today!
We are now focusing on Veterans and would appreciate volunteers with military background.
Have a great day and we hope you will help us make a difference!
