Are you handy? Do you like to fix things? If you are skilled in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, sprinkler systems, heating, or general repair work, we need YOU!
Some of our buildings and the units in which our residents live are over 50 years old and in constant need of tender loving care. Come give of your time and skill to improve our grounds and facilities while making a positive impact on the lives of the single moms and children we serve.

Moms build futures here
Nestled on the west side of Colorado Springs is an intimate community of single moms and their children. It’s a secluded village-a safe place carved out for courageous women who are building new life patterns and leaving old ones behind.
These are working moms who are also working hard at transformation. It’s gritty and challenging-and full of promise. That’s because God is at work in the village of Family Life and has been since its founding in 1942. Originally the Christian Home for Children, we refined our mission in the 1980’s to focus on single moms and their children.
In the security of their individual apartments, moms and their children thrive under the growing awareness that God is for them. And beside each mom, Family Life staff and mentors walk step by step, life by life, through the hard work of building a better future.
All of this makes Family Life Services practical. Hopeful. And a tangible community where families experience the love of God as his Spirit creates healthy families. It also makes Family Life Services a meaningful place to invest your talents, practical skills and resources for moms, their children and their futures.
